2011 GMC Savana Special 4.8 ASECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front passenger seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the instrument panel lower extension, if equipped. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Extension Replacement .
  3. Remove the left knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement .
  4. Remove the right knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement .
  5. Release the engine cover retainers (1, 3).
  6. IMPORTANT: Remove the cover by pulling directly rearward to avoid contact between the cover and the engine components beneath the cover.
  7. Remove the engine cover from the vehicle (2).
