2011 GMC Savana Special 4.8 ASECTION Installation Procedure

  1. If replacing the catalytic converter, apply water based lubricant to the catalytic converter hanger bracket and slide the exhaust pipe hanger bracket into the catalytic converter hanger.

  3. Install a NEW catalytic converter to diesel particulate filter gasket.
  4. Position the catalytic converter to the diesel particulate filter, turbocharger exhaust pipe and the hanger bracket to transmission.
  5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Install the catalytic converter hanger to transmission bolts (1) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

  8. Install the catalytic converter to particulate filter nuts (3) until snug.
