- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X5 harness connector at the BCM.
- Verify there is no aftermarket component wired to terminal 19.
- If there is an aftermarket component wire, test the circuit terminal for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the BCM.
