Installation Procedure

2011 GMC Canyon 4D Pickup, 5.3 P, 4WDSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Position the BCM to the vehicle.
  2. Attach the BCM to the hinge pillar with the integral tab.
  3. Install the 2 fasteners retaining the BCM to the hinge pillar.

  5. Install the fastener retaining the body wiring harness electrical connector to the BCM.

  7. Connect the body wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the BCM.
  8. Connect the remote control door lock receiver antenna wire to the BCM.

  10. Connect the I/P wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the BCM.
  11. Install the right front hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  12. If installing a replacement BCM, program the BCM. Refer to Control Module References .
