Removal Procedure

- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the mass airflow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor (2).
- Disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) pump inlet hose (1) quick connect fitting from the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Disengage the 2 air cleaner housing retainers (1).
- Open the air cleaner housing cover, and remove the air filter element (1).
