2009 GMC Canyon 4D Pickup, 2.9 9SECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LLV/LLR)Β  or Generator Replacement (LH8)Β .
  2. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (LLV, LLR) or Power Steering Pump Replacement (LH8) .
  3. Remove the drive belt idler pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement .
  4. Remove the engine wiring harness bracket bolt (4).
  5. Reposition the engine wiring harness bracket out of the way.

  7. Remove the generator bracket bolts.
  8. Remove the generator bracket.
