Removal Procedure

2009 GMC Canyon 4D Pickup, 2.9 9SECTION Removal Procedure
    NOTE: Do NOT swap digital radio receivers between vehicles. Swapping digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio Theftlock®, and "XM Theftlock®" will display.
  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement .

  3. Unfold the service panel located above the I/P compartment door.

  5. Remove the I/P access cover.

  7. Remove the screws retaining the digital radio receiver to the I/P structure.

  9. Lower the receiver from the I/P.
  10. NOTE: Do not attempt to pry or slide the electrical connector release lever (1).
