2009 GMC Canyon 4D Pickup, 2.9 9SECTION Removal Procedure
WARNING: Refer to Brake Dust Warning .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the wheel speed sensor bolts (1).

  4. Remove the wheel speed sensor (1) from the drum brake backing plate by carefully pulling straight outward.

  6. Release the wheel speed sensor harness retainers (1) on the rear park brake cable.

    Release the harness from the retainers.

  8. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
  9. Release the electrical connector and harness retainer (2) from the frame.
  10. Remove the wheel speed sensor assembly.
