Assembly Procedure
2001 GMC Yukon XL K2500, 6.0 USECTION Assembly Procedure
- Grease the stub shaft seal with the special grease supplied with the new stub shaft housing.
- Install the new stub shaft housing O-rings (1) (2).
- Install the stub shaft housing (3) onto the steering gear.
- Refer to FASTENER NOTICE
in Cautions and Notices.
Install the stub shaft housing bolts (4) into the stub shaft housing (34).
TightenΒ
Tighten the bolts to 55.0-70.0 N.m (40.5-51.6 lb ft).
