  1. Remove mounting the 2 mounting nuts from the injector sight shield (top engine cover). Lift the injector sight shield off the mounting studs by lifting at the front of the cover. Drain the radiator coolant. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
  2. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector. Disconnect the cruise control cable from the throttle body lever. Disconnect the accelerator control cable from the throttle body lever. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose. Disconnect the PCV valve hose.
  3. Disconnect the throttle body vacuum port hose. Disconnect the throttle body coolant hoses. Remove the accelerator controls cable bracket, leaving the accelerator and cruse cables connected. Remove the upper nut holding the throttle body to the intake manifold. Remove the throttle body assembly. Clean the gasket surface on the intake manifold and the throttle body assembly.
