DTC Parameters
- Engine speed of 540 RPM has been reached at least once and six combustion events have passed.
- Engine speed is 520-6520 RPM.
- IAT is greater than -22Β°F (-30Β°C).
- Engine speed change is less than 1200-3300 RPM/s depending on engine load.
- ABS stop is not active.
- Fuel cutoff is not active.
- Rough road is not detected.
- Traction control is not active.
- No CAM, CKP, EVAP purge solenoid or TP sensor DTCs have been set.
DTC sets if specific or random cylinder misfires have been detected after a 1000 revolution test(s) when the sum of the misfire counts are greater than 34 in the first 1000 engine revolution test; or greater than 34 misfire counts in four different 1000 revolution tests throughout the drive cycle after the first 1000 engine revolutions have passed.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- β’ Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- β’ The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- β’ You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- β’ You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
