Installation Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat riser bar.

  3. Position the seat cushion frame assembly between the adjusters.
  4. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the seat cushion frame bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (9 lb ft).

  6. Position the seat back frame assembly between the adjusters. Ensure that the locating triangles in the frame are properly seated in the mating holes in the adjusters.

  8. If equipped, install the outboard teardrop washer and bolt.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolt to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

  9. Install the outboard seat back frame nuts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nuts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  10. Install the inboard seat back frame nuts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the nuts to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  11. If you loosened the rear bolts on the seat cushion frame during removal, tighten them now.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (9 lb ft).
