1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION DTC Parameters

  • Engine running.
  • EVAP vent solenoid is commanded on (closed).
  • EVAP purge solenoid is commanded off (closed).
  • Fuel tank between 15-85 percent.
  • BARO more than 75 kPa.
  • Both ECT and IAT are between 39-86Β°F (4-30Β°C) at engine start-up.
  • ECT and IAT are within 14Β°F (8Β°C) of each other at start-up.
  • Vehicle speed less than 70 MPH.
  • Throttle angle is 10-35 percent.
  • No ECT, fuel tank pressure, IAT, MAP, HO2S1, PCM internal fault, TP or vehicle speed DTCs are set.

DTC sets when fuel tank pressure sensor voltage is indicating less than 2.0 volts (continuous purge flow) during EVAP diagnostic system test for more than 75 seconds.
