Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly ReplacementΒ .
  2. Disconnect the vacuum line from the recirculation actuator.
  3. Lift the retaining tab and slide the recirculation actuator off the mounting slides.
  4. Disconnect the recirculation actuator plunger rod from the recirculation actuator lever and remove the actuator.

  5. Remove the recirculation housing retaining screws (1).
  6. Remove the recirculation housing (2) from the HVAC module.

  7. Remove the recirculation door (1) from the recirculation housing (2).
