Installation Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front seat trim panel to the front seat.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors, if equipped.
  3. Install the front seat trim panel to the front seat cushion frame, using new clips.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the screws to the front seat trim panel.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the front seat trim panel screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  5. Install the retainer to the base of the recliner handle.
  6. Install the recliner handle.
