Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the head restraint. Refer to HEAD RESTRAINT REPLACEMENT - FRONT SEATΒ  .
  2. Position the front seat back to the full-up position.
  3. Unhook the front seat back trim cover J-retainer.
  4. Carefully reach inside the seat back between the seat back cover and the seat back pad.

    Pinch the bottom of the guide together.

  5. Pull the guide upwards from the seat back frame.
