Left Transaxle Mount & Bracket: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the left front tire and wheel. Remove the left fascia extension. Install a transaxle stand under the transaxle in order to support the powertrain.
  2. Remove the mount stud nut from the mount stud to allow separation of the mount from the mount bracket. See Fig 1 . Remove the nut (4) and bolt (1) and the nuts (3) from the vehicle. See Fig 2 .
  3. Slowly lower the transaxle stand and remove the stand. Lower the vehicle. Remove the frame rail bolt retaining screws. See Fig 3 . Raise the vehicle.
  4. Push up on the frame rail bolts in order to clear the mount as the top of the mount is tilted away from the vehicle. Remove the mount (2) from the vehicle.
  5. Remove the 4 attaching bolts from the side cover. Remove the left transaxle mount bracket (1) from the vehicle. See Fig 4 .
