Current DTC: voltage difference between PASSENGER-SIDE HIGH terminal No. 1 and PASSENGER-SIDE LOW terminal No. 4 is below 0.4 volts for 500 milliseconds. History DTC: scan tool clear codes command issued or 250 malfunction free ignition cycles have occurred. When scan tool clear codes command issued and malfunction still present, DTC will not reappear until next ignition cycle.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart. For circuit number identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  • 2) This test checks for proper contact and/or corrosion of Yellow  2-way connector.
  • 9) This test isolates malfunction to one side of inflatable restraint I/P module Yellow  2-way connector. This is done by substituting known good resistance of load tool and observing if malfunction is still present.
  • 11) This test checks for proper contact and/or corrosion of inflatable restraint control module connector.
  • 16) This test determines whether malfunction is in CKT 1403.
  • 18) This test determines whether malfunction is in CKT 1404.
