Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) cluster trim plate. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) CLUSTERΒ  .
  2. Remove the front floor console trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR CONSOLEΒ  .
  3. Remove the ashtray from the bracket.

  4. Remove the lower ashtray bracket screws.
  5. Remove the upper ashtray bracket screws.

  6. Remove the ashtray bracket from the I/P.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ashtray bracket.
