Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling SystemΒ .
  2. Use J 38185Β  in order to reposition the hose clamp from the water pump housing.
  3. Remove the radiator outlet hose (3) from the water pump housing (1).
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING & JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  5. Remove the lower air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle and Deflector Replacement - LowerΒ .

  6. Use J 38185Β  in order to reposition the hose clamp from the radiator.
  7. Remove the outlet hose from the radiator.
