Installation Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood stop bracket to the hinge pillar.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the hood stop bracket bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  2. Install the hood stop (and the plenum bracket on the passenger side) to the hood stop bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the hood stop bracket bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the hood bumper.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the hood bumper jam nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the fender. Refer to FENDER REPLACEMENT - FRONT  .
