TCC Pulse Width Modulation Solenoid: Removal

  1. Remove the case side cover. See CASE SIDE COVERΒ  . Disconnect and reposition the electrical connectors from the following:
    • 2-3 Shift solenoid valve assembly.
    • Fluid pressure manual valve position switch assembly. See Figure .
  2. CAUTION: Do not remove the bolt (205) that holds the oil pump together. See Fig 1 .
  3. Remove the oil pump bolts (206, 207). Remove the oil pump from the valve body. See Fig 2 .
  4. Disconnect the torque converter clutch pulse width modulation (TCC PWM) solenoid electrical connector. See Remove the TCC PWM solenoid retaining clip (314F). See Fig 3 . Remove the TCC PWM solenoid (334).
