- Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position. Remove key. Remove AIR BAG fuse from in-line fuse holder located near base of steering column. See Fig 1.
- Remove steering column opening trim plate. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip, release lock tab, and disconnect driver air bag Yellow 2-pin connector. See Fig 1.
- Open glove box. Push inward on left and right-side stoppers and rotate glove box downward. Remove CPA clip, and disconnect Yellow 2-pin passenger-side air bag connector. See Fig 2.
