Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEMΒ .
  2. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp from the water pump using J 38185Β  .
  3. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the water pump.
  4. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE in General Information.
  5. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp from the radiator using J 38185Β  .
  6. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the radiator.
