Installation Procedure

- Install the power steering pump reservoir to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle (CB Series)Β .
- Install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement (LA1)Β or Power Steering Pulley Replacement (LY7)Β .
- Uncap the power steering pump and hoses.
- Position the power steering pump to the vehicle.
- Install the power steering pump mounting bolts.
Tighten:Β Tighten the power steering pump mounting bolts to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).
- Install the wiring harness to the wiring harness retainer located on the power steering pump reservoir.
- Install the power steering return hose to the power steering pump.
- Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.
- Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.
- Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering SystemΒ .
- Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering Fluid LeaksΒ .
