Rotation Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Rotation Procedure

  1. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.4L.
  2. Set the park brake.
  3. Shift the transaxle into Neutral.
  4. Remove the engine mount strut bolts. Swing the engine mount struts aside.

  6. Install the J 41131Β  . See Special Tools and EquipmentΒ .
  7. Pull on the engine in order to rotate the engine forward.
  8. Tighten the J 41131Β  . See Special Tools and EquipmentΒ .
