Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Open the endgate.
  2. Remove the endgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - EndgateΒ .
  3. Remove the endgate water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - EndgateΒ .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the endgate lock cylinder.

  5. Disconnect the endgate lock cylinder wiring harness from the endgate inner panel.
  6. Remove the endgate lock cylinder retainer from the lock cylinder.

  7. Remove the endgate lock cylinder from the endgate.
