Installation Procedure

- Install the backup lamp sockets and harness to the lift gate applique.
- Install the lift gate applique lamp sockets to the lift gate applique.
- Install the license plate lamp sockets to the lift gate applique.
- Connect the lift gate applique electrical connector.
- Install the lift gate applique to the lift gate.NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the lift gate applique nuts.
Tighten:Β Tighten the lift gate applique nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install the wing nuts to the studs on the lift gate applique.
- Hand tighten the wing nuts.
- Install the lift gate trim panel access panel and engage the locking tabs. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (Aztek)Β or Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (Rendezvous)Β .
