Knee Bolster Trim Panel: Removal

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster lower filler panel. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER LOWER FILLER PANELΒ  . Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER BEZEL TRIM PLATEΒ  .
  2. Remove the instrument panel lower extension trim plate. See INSTRUMENT PANEL EXTENSION TRIM PLATEΒ  . Remove the bolts at the lower edge of the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel. Pull on the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel in order to disengage the retainers.
  3. Remove the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel from the vehicle. See Figure . Inspect the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel for broken or missing retainers. Replace the retainers as needed.
