Door Adjustment

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Door Adjustment

  1. Open the front door in order to access the rear door hinge bolts.
    IMPORTANT: Do not remove the rear door hinge bolts.
  2. Loosen the rear door side hinge bolts.

  3. Pry off the washer from the lower bolt on the lower hinge.
  4. Adjust the rear door up or down and in and out as required.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Tighten the door side hinge bolts.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the rear door hinge to door bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
