Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear split bench seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR 50-50 SPLITΒ  .
  2. Remove the outer trim panel from the seat cushions. Refer to SEAT CUSHION OUTER TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT (BUCKET)Β  or SEAT CUSHION OUTER TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT (SPLIT BENCH)Β  .
  3. Move the seat back cover and the pad away in order to expose the seat back recliner bolts.
  4. Remove the bolts from the seat back recliner.

  5. Remove the recliner from the seat.

  6. If required, remove the trim cover from the seat back recliner inner side.
