Installation Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. If required, install the trim cover to the inner side of the seat back recliner.

  2. Install the seat back recliner to the seat.

  3. Install the bolts to the seat back recliner.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  4. Move the cover and the pad over the seat back recliner bolts.
  5. Install the outer trim panel to the seat cushions. Refer to SEAT CUSHION OUTER TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT (BUCKET)  or SEAT CUSHION OUTER TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR SEAT (SPLIT BENCH)  .
  6. Install the split bench seat. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR 50-50 SPLIT  .
