- Open and support the hood.
- Remove the hood assist rods. Refer to ASSIST ROD REPLACEMENT - HOOD .
- Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood with an grease pencil.
- Remove the bolts from the upper hood hinge, with an assistant.
- Remove the hood from the vehicle, with an assistant.
