Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Open and support the hood.
  2. Remove the hood assist rods. Refer to ASSIST ROD REPLACEMENT - HOODΒ  .
  3. Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood with an grease pencil.
  4. Remove the bolts from the upper hood hinge, with an assistant.

  5. Remove the hood from the vehicle, with an assistant.
