Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the electrical harness from the hood latch support bracket.
  3. Remove the hood latch from the hood latch support bracket. Refer to HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENTΒ  .

  4. Remove the four bolts from the hood latch support bracket.

  5. Reposition the hood latch release cable from the hood latch support bracket.
  6. Remove the hood latch support bracket from the upper radiator tie bar.
