Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Mark the hood latch to the hood latch support bracket with a grease pencil.

  3. Remove the nuts from the hood latch.

    Important:Β  Do not crimp the hood latch release cable.

  4. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the hood release cable retainer.
  5. Remove the hood latch from the hood latch support bracket.
