Installation Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hood release cable to the hood release handle.

  2. Install the hood release handle to the instrument panel.
  3. Install the bolts to hood release handle base.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the hood release handle base bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the knee bolster panel. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT .
  5. Install the left IP Insulator Panel. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT -- LEFT .
