Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front wheel liner. Refer to FRONT FENDER LINER REPLACEMENT .
  2. Remove the bolts from the corner of the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT -- FRONT BUMPER -- UPPER (AZTEK) or FASCIA REPLACEMENT -- FRONT BUMPER -- UPPER (RENDEZVOUS) .
  3. Remove the screws from the front wheel opening molding.

  4. Pull the corner of the front fascia outward to access the front retainer on the wheel opening molding.
  5. Use a thin, plastic flat-bladed tool between the fender and the molding to help release the retainers.

    Remove the molding from the fender.
