Installation procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Installation procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector.
  2. Align the switch to the opening in the steering wheel.
  3. Push the switch into the steering wheel.

  4. Install the steering wheel rear bezel (1).
  5. Install the retaining screws (2,3) to the steering wheel rear bezel.

    TightenΒ  Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (26.5 Ib. in).

  6. Install the steering wheel. Refer to STEERING WHEEL REPLACEMENTΒ  .
  7. Enable the SIR System. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
