Installation Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install the stud plate (1) into the rear bumper impact bar bracket.
  2. Install the rear bumper impact bar to the body.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the fasteners to secure the rear bumper impact bar to the body.

    TightenΒ 

    Tighten the fasteners to 25 N.m (18 ft lbs).

  4. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - Rear BumperΒ .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
