Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling SystemΒ .
  2. Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank.

  4. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT .
  5. Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the engine.
  6. Remove the bolt attaching the pipe assembly to the engine.
  7. Remove the surge tank inlet pipe assembly.
