- Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
- Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank.
- Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SIGHT SHIELD REPLACEMENT .
- Disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the engine.
- Remove the bolt attaching the pipe assembly to the engine.
- Remove the surge tank inlet pipe assembly.
