Removal Procedure

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the stabilizer shaft links. Refer to STABILIZER BAR in Front Suspension.
  3. Rotate the stabilizer shaft downward.
  4. Remove the electrical harness clip from the power steering gear heat shield.
  5. Remove power steering gear heat shield mounting bolts.
  6. Remove the power steering gear heat shield.
