Ball Joint: Removal

Raise and support vehicle by frame. Remove wheel. Remove cotter pin and loosen ball joint nut. Separate ball joint from steering knuckle using Ball Joint Separator/Remover (J-43828). See Figure . Loosen stabilizer bar link nut. Drill or grind off rivet heads, and remove ball joint.
