Installation Procedure

  1. Install the hazard and turn signal flasher (1) to the relay center.

  2. Install the relay center (5) and the bracket (4) to the inner and outer bracket of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.
    CAUTION: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  3. Install the bolts (3) that retain the relay center and the bracket to the inner and outer brackets of the instrument panel driver knee bolster.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 in lbs).

  4. Install the instrument panel driver knee bolster panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - KNEE BOLSTER .
