- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the front lower air deflector. Remove the torque converter covers.
- Remove the starter solenoid BAT terminal nut and remove the positive battery cable from the starter motor. See Fig 1. Remove the starter solenoid S terminal nut and remove the starter solenoid wire from the starter motor.
- Remove the starter bolts and remove the starter motor.
