- Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONSΒ . Turn front wheels to straight-ahead position. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove key from ignition switch.
- Remove AIR BAG fuse from fuse block located on the far left side of dash.
- Zone 2 Or 6Β - Remove center pillar trim. Remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from the seat belt pretensioner connector. Disconnect the seat belt pretensioner connector from the vehicle harness. Remove the CPA clip from the side Air Bag sensor. Disconnect the side air bag sensor connector. See Fig 1 .
- Zone 3Β - Remove the lower steering column trim panel and knee bolster. Remove CPA clip from Yellow connector and disconnect Yellow connector.
- Zone 5Β - Remove the glove box. See Fig 2 . Remove the CPA clip and the Yellow 2-pin connector from the inflatable restraint I/P module and disconnect the connector. See Fig 3 .
- Zones 7 & 9Β - Remove the CPA clip (1) from the side impact module connector located under driver or passenger seat. Disconnect the side air impact connector. See Fig 4 .
- Zone 8Β - Disconnect SIR connectors in zones 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 & 9.
