1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Removal & Installation

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coils. Note the position from which the wires are removed. Remove the 2 screws that secure the ignition coil to the ignition control module. Remove the ignition coil.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten the coil screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  . Connect the spark plug wires to the ignition coils. See Fig 1 .
