Fuel Filler Tube: Removal

NOTE:
Cap the fittings and plug the holes when servicing the fuel system in order to prevent dirt and other contaminants from entering the open pipes and passages. Always maintain cleanliness when servicing fuel system components.
- Remove the fuel filler cap. Drain the fuel tank. See FUEL TANK DRAININGΒ . Raise and support vehicle. Remove the fuel filler pipe attaching nut to wheelhouse stud. SeeFigure .
- Remove the fuel filler pipe attaching screw to the wheelhouse panel. Loosen the fuel filler pipe clamp. Remove the fuel filler pipe from the fuel tank. Remove the fuel filler pipe from the grommet on the fuel filler pocket.
