- If torque converter is discolored/overheated, replace the torque converter.
- If broken/cracked flexplate, replace the torque converter.
- If stripped converter bolt holes, replace the torque converter.
- If torque converter pilot damaged, replace the torque converter.
- If torque converter ballooning, replace the torque converter if end play exceeds .3 INCH (.7 mm) using Converter End Play Checker (J 35138).
