Air Bag Simulator

1999 GMC Forward Control 5.7 R, AutomaticSECTION Air Bag Simulator
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 114 other vehicles, including the 2000 Saturn SW2, 2000 Saturn SL2, 2000 Saturn SL1, 2000 Saturn SL, and 2000 Saturn SC2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

An air bag simulator tool is needed when deactivating the air bag system. The air bag simulator contains a calibrated 2-ohm resistor which simulates the air bag module connections to the system. Do NOT short circuit air bag module connections with a zero-ohm jumper wire. For specific simulator applications, see AIR BAG SIMULATOR APPLICATIONΒ  table.
