Circuit Description
Sensing & Diagnostic Module (SDM) contains a sensing device that converts vehicle velocity change to an electrical signal. SDM then compares electrical signal with value stored in memory. When generated signal exceeds stored value, SDM deploys air bag and stores DTC. If any air bags deploy while an air bag circuit fault is present, DTC B0053 will set.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
